Fees
Full Time
$500.00 per child per month – provides care Monday – Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
excluding statuatory holidays.
Program Information
Facts about Kinder Kare:
- -The Program will run from 7am-6pm.
- -Children can attend before Kindergarten starts as well as after Kindergarten ends.
- -Will be held in a room right at your school.
- -Snack will be offered in the AM and PM on a daily basis. The snack menu and portions are based on the Canada Food Guide. Milk and Juice are provided with each snack. Parents of children who have medical or dietary concerns are encouraged to provide their own snacks.
- -Children who are at the Program during the lunch hour will need to bring a lunch on a daily basis. There will be a microwave available, but no refrigeration.
Our daily and weekly activities are based on: age, developmental ability and interests, therefore each of our Programs are unique and group specific. Planned activities are based on: creative (craft projects, drawing, coloring etc…), drama (dress up, office, air bands, talent shows etc…), science (how things work, weather, growing etc…), physical and cultural.
Kinder Kare Program is based on:
- -Providing children opportunities to try and experience new activities.
- -The freedom to choose from a variety of activities on a daily basis.
- -Aid in developing self confidence in a group of peers.
- -Aid in the learning of self help skills such as: being responsible of their belongings, tying shoe laces, washing hands, zipping up coat, cleaning up after themselves etc…
Ratios
Ratios are 1 staff to 10 children, to a maximum group size of 20 children in one area.
Licensed capacity is based on the amount of useable measured space- this is different for each Location.
The Kinder Kare group will join with the Before/After School Programs prior to the start of school and after Kindergarten ends as well as for full days, holidays, and Friday afternoons. Details will be posted at the Programs.
